Join the PSNA Video Club and earn contact hours by watching episodes and participating in conference calls with nurse colleagues from across the state. Call the Midwife follows the nurses, midwives, and nuns from Nonnatus House, who visit the expectant mothers of Poplar, providing the poorest women with the best possible care. Call the Midwife Season 9 begins in March 2020 on PBS. FREE to PSNA members / $60 non-members.

 

How do I participate? 

Watch Sunday night episodes on PBS (or online after the airing). Then, discuss the episode with nurse colleagues on Thursday nights from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Learners will be contacted by the PSNA Office of Professional Development at the beginning of each week. The email will include questions to consider for the weekly conference call, as well as directions to log onto the call. Answers to questions must also be emailed to the Office of Professional Development. Learners are not required to attend every call. Contact hours will be awarded per episode participation.

 

Note: Learners receive more contact hours for week one due to the extra holiday special.

TBD 4-26 4-30 7 – 8 pm A patient’s wife refuses to accept further help. A first-time father frustrates Nurse Crane.
TBD 5-3 5-7 7 – 8 pm The Turners receive alarming new about their daughter. Fred tries to reinstate a horticulture show.
TBD 5-10 5-14 7 – 8 pm Kevin sees a troubled patient. The maternity home receives a long-awaited incubator.
TBD 5-17 5-21 7 – 8 pm When the council announces plans to cut Nonnatus House’s funding, Sister Julienne fights back.

Successful completion includes watching the episode and participating on the call, as well as completing the End of Season Evaluation.

Pennsylvania State Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
