This webinar is presented by Dr. Lorraine Bock, Health Center Coordinator at Alder Health Services in Harrisburg, PA. She has provided healthcare for the LGBTQ community for over 15 years, as well as presented nationally on the subject. Dr. Bock received her NP education at the University of Pennsylvania and earned her doctorate at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh. She is dually boarded in family and emergency medicine. She is the immediate past president of the PA Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and has worked tirelessly to improve the practice environment for nurses and nurse practitioners in PA.

This course will provide an overview of LGBTQI healthcare. You will obtain an understanding of accurate information pertaining to gender identity and sexual orientation, gain knowledge into terminology associated with LGBTQI care, and be able to barriers to care associated with LGBTQI care. You will also reflect on your own personal values thoughts & attitudes about gender identity and sexual orientation. The course will outline specific ways to create a supportive environment for LGBTQI individuals.
